We are honored to have the following distinguished researchers as plenary speakers for the Workshop on Applied Mathematics and Graph Theory. Their contributions represent the forefront of research in their respective fields.

Confirmed Plenary Speakers
Prof. Tomaž Pisanski
Affiliation: University of Primorska & IMFM, Slovenia
Bio: Prof. Tomaž Pisanski is a mathematician working in discrete and computational mathematics, graph theory, chemical graph theory, bioinformatics, incidence geometry, and the history and art of mathematics. He holds a PhD, MSc, and BSc in Mathematics from the University of Ljubljana and an MSc in Computer Science from Penn State University. He has held visiting professorships across the USA, New Zealand, Canada, Austria, Croatia, and Italy, and has over 100 PhD descendants. He has chaired major Slovenian national science bodies, founded the Department of Theoretical Computer Science at IMFM Ljubljana, and is a Member of Academia Europaea, Fellow of the ICA, and a member of the Engineering Academy of Slovenia. He has chaired numerous international conferences and served on ERC panels and EMS committees. His honors include the Lifetime Zois Award (2025), the Zois Award (2015), the Order of Merit of Slovenia, and an IMO Bronze Medal. He is Founding Editor-in-Chief of Ars Mathematica Contemporanea and Art of Discrete and Applied Mathematics.
Prof. R. Vasant Kumar
Affiliation: Department of Materials Science & Metallurgy, University of Cambridge, UK
Bio: Prof. R. Vasant Kumar is Professor of Materials Chemistry and Distinguished Research Fellow, and a Fellow of Trinity Hall. He holds a PhD from McMaster University and a BTech (Hons.) from IIT Bombay, and is a Fellow of several professional bodies (FIMMM, FEI, FRSC, FIAAM). He has authored more than 380 papers, 25 patents, and several books on advanced battery and electrochemical technologies. He has supervised over 45 PhD students and 45 postdoctoral researchers. His research covers clean-energy electrochemical processes, batteries, fuel cells, mineral carbonation, recycling, and advanced sensors, resulting in technology licenses and four start-up companies. He is Editor-in-Chief of Mineral Processing & Extractive Metallurgy and Battery Materials, and a recipient of awards including the Kroll Medal and an Honorary Engineering Doctorate.
Prof. Matěj Stehlík
Affiliation: Université Paris Cité, France
Bio: Prof. Matěj Stehlík is a professor of computer science whose research focuses on graph theory and its interactions with topology. Born in Prague, he lived in the United Kingdom and Mexico before continuing his academic career in France. His work combines structural, geometric, and topological ideas in discrete mathematics.
Prof. Ljubiša Kočinac
Affiliation: Faculty of Sciences and Mathematics, University of Niš, Serbia
Bio: Prof. Ljubiša Kočinac works in the field of topology, with contributions spanning selection principles, convergence structures, and topological function spaces. He is the author or coauthor of four books, five edited volumes, and more than 220 papers in international journals, cited around 4,000 times, with an h-index of 31. He has delivered over 210 conference presentations, including 90 invited, plenary, or keynote talks. He has held numerous international research visits across the USA, Russia, China, India, Pakistan, South Korea, South Africa, and Europe. Founder of the SCI-indexed journal Filomat, he has served on editorial boards of 23 journals, edited 42 conference proceedings, and reviewed for about 120 journals. He also holds honorary titles from Kyrgyz National University and the Kyrgyz National Academy of Sciences.
Marko Kostić
Affiliation: Faculty of Technical Sciences, Novi Sad (full professor).
Bio: Marko Kostić was born on January 8, 1977, in Loznica, Serbia. He is working in the fields of abstract (degenerate) Volterra integro-differential
equations, abstract fractional differential equations and linear topological dynamics.

- Talk Schedule: Plenary talks will be scheduled throughout the workshop program
- Duration: Each plenary talk is allocated 60 minutes including Q&A
- Location: All plenary sessions will be held in the main auditorium at Hotel Kongresen Centar-Ohrid
- Registration: Attendance to plenary talks is included with workshop registration
